Our projects for the future

At the moment there are several projects going on at the farm for 2019:
A: to expand the front garden
B: to add varieties to the berries garden
C: to plant native perennials plants in the orchard
D: to add more strawberries varieties and more asparagus to the terraces growing beds
E: to start an intensive garden following guidelines from Jean-Martin Fortier
and Perrine and Charles Herve' - Gruyer
F: To establish a winter garden on raised beds.
G: to create an hoop house under the oaks where to grow mainly salads and tomatoes.
H: to complete the hugelkur on the slope and plant raspberries on it.
I: improve the willows row to use it for basketry and wood chips production.
L: expand the Hazelnuts areas
M: to test the agroforestry system growing red fife wheat around peach trees.
N: to establish a perennials garden and a forest garden (using dwarf varieties of fruit trees)
on the northern feather. There is also a plan to create a raised gazebo in the center.
O: same as for the choice of plants, but to create in center a small playground instead.
P: The outer circle will still be dedicated to garlics, leeks and onions.
Q: The median circle could be used for potatoes, sweet potatoes peppers, squash and pumpkins.
R: The inner circle is dedicated to a tall hugelkutur bed following the guidelines of Sepp Holtzer.
S: To plant fruit trees and perennials plants in the southern perimeter
T: To keep working on the farm buildings in order to realize a greenhouse, a summer kitchen,
a sugar shack, a meeting room, a compost toilet, an handicrafts workshop and a mechanical
workshop.
U: to create playgrounds to entertain the kids while the adults work in the gardens.
V: to improve the new roads.
W: to improve the water reservoirs and use them for irrigation.
Z: to create compost mounds and windrows (following the guidelines of Dr. Elaine Ingham)
near the gardens.
Possibly buy more chickens and a couple of pigs.
